Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Inflammation is a natural immune response designed to help protect and/or heal the body in the case of injury, infection or any other cause of distress or damage to the body.  Diet can be helpful in supporting the immune system and encouraging optimal function in those who suffer from Chronic Inflammation.  Turmeric is best known for it's anti-inflammatory properties due to the curcuminoids found in the turmeric root and root extracts.  Cooking or heating turmeric along with adding a dash of freshly ground black pepper  to  food or turmeric based drinks help to make it more bioavailable to the body.
